About the event

The hybrid event is open to all University staff and students and will feature a series of talks, panel discussions, posters and networking opportunities.

The event has been designed to be as inclusive and accessible as possible, with, for example, the inclusion of quiet rooms, plus the option to also attend online via Zoom.

Among the fantastic line up of speakers are former Great British Bake Off contestant, Lizzie Acker, who’ll be sharing her experiences of living with Dyslexia and ADHD, Dr Tony Lloyd, CEO of the ADHD Foundation, and international inspirational speaker and best-selling author Keisha Swaby.

A panel session will centre around embedding neuroinclusivity into all aspects of the University’s operations, drawing insights from best practices in other organisations. The discussion will feature input from Tania Martin (EY Neurodiverse Centre of Excellence) and Karen Lee (Director of Strategy and Estates, University of Glasgow).

Attendees will also be able to learn about the latest neurodiversity research through poster sessions and flash talks, and get helpful support and advice for living with neurodiversity, or managing or teaching people who do.

The final address will be given by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tim Jones, alongside Katherine Fairclough, Chief Executive at Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.

The event is being led by the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences EDIW team, in partnership with EDIW colleagues from across the wider University.
