To help you navigate the process of paying your student fees, you’ll find a guide for each type of payment below.

If you have any queries, you can contact our helpful Student Fees and Funding Team. The team’s contact details are at the bottom of this Student News story.

Undergraduate student – tuition fees paid by the Student Loan Company

If your tuition fees are paid by the Student Loan Company and you are an undergraduate student who has received confirmation of your tuition fee loan from the Student Loans Company, you do not need to take any further action in relation to paying your student tuition fees.

If you are staying in University accommodation, please make sure you also read the Accommodation fees section below.

Accommodation fees

If you are staying in University accommodation, you can see which payment options are available on the Paying your accommodation fees webpage. New payment plans for accommodation fees need to be completed at the beginning of each academic year of study.

If you have already paid in full for the year, or submitted an instalment plan for accommodation fees (if applicable), there is no need to take any other action at present.

Self-funding students

If you are self-funding your tuition fees (this means that you or your family are paying your fees rather than having them paid by an organisation or institution), please follow the instructions on the Self-financing webpages.  If you have already paid in full for the year, or viewed the relevant published payment plan for tuition fees (and noted the instalment due dates), there is no need to take any other action at present.

Funded or sponsored students

Your fees may be paid by a sponsor, for example a Research Council, a government body (such as the NHS), or an Embassy. If this applies to you, you will need to provide us with the formal confirmation letter from your sponsor to confirm your payment arrangements. If you have already done this, you don’t need to do anything else at the moment.

You can find out more via our Funded section on the website within the External Sponsorship section.

Postgraduate taught students

If you are on a postgraduate taught programme and you are receiving a postgraduate loan from the Student Loans Company, our three-part tuition instalment plan has instalment due dates that coincide with your loan disbursements, therefore you are required to make manual payments before these dates. You can find out more via the Paying your student fees webpages.

Postgraduate research student

If you are a postgraduate research student and you are receiving a doctoral loan from the Student Loans Company, you should provide the Fees team with your Doctoral Loan payment schedule upon receipt of your tuition fee invoice at: feesenq@liverpool.ac.uk.

CPS/PG Cert in Teaching and Learning students

If you are on the CPS/PG Cert in Teaching and Learning, or have already paid your fees in full/confirmed your arrangements, please accept our thanks . You do not need to do anything further at this stage.
