Staying Vigilant this Cyber Security Week: Think IT, Lock IT, Secure IT

As part of Cyber Security Week, IT Services is holding its first Cyber Security Week from 16 to 20 October 2023.

During the week, IT Services will be sharing details of simple things you can do to keep your data and accounts – as well as the University’s data and accounts – safe.

Make sure you are:

  • using laptops that are secured with anti-malware
  • installing the latest security updates when prompted
  • ensuring that documents and passwords are stored securely

IT Services is constantly reviewing and updating our approach to cyber security at the University in the wake of ever-increasing and sophisticated attacks.

But we need your help as digital security at the University is something all of us need to take responsibility for and we have to stay vigilant at all times.

Cyber Security Month is an excellent opportunity for us to reflect on good practice and ensure we’re doing everything we can to keep every member of the University community safe and secure.
