13 Halloween activities you can enjoy in Liverpool this October

Halloween Crochet, Campus – Free

Join us for a relaxing craft session where we’ll make Halloween crochet creations. The session is free and all your materials are provided. No need to book. All welcome 😊

BandSoc Halloween Gig

Four bands in fancy dress will be playing at the Arts Bar Baltic on Monday 30 October in this free Halloween gig. You can see Maggie Witch, Suitable for Vegetarians, TBA and Wendigos.

Katumba Halloween Festival, Free,  Liverpool city centre

Katumba Halloween Festival will take place in Liverpool City Centre with drums, dance, giant props and fire.

Liverpool Bid Company and artist Lucy Bretherton have teamed up to create a free pumpkin trail around the city.

Pumpkin Picking

There are lots of pumpkin picking sites near Liverpool, but make sure you ring ahead to make sure they’ve still got pumpkins left before heading to find your perfect jack o ’lantern.

You could try pumpkin picking at Spooky World in Warrington, Sandy Lane Farm near Warrington, Kenyon Hall Farm near Warrington,  Church Hall Farm near Lydiate or the Pumpkin Patch Hightown.

Big Pub Quiz: Halloween Special, the Guild – £2

The Guild are hosting a Halloween quiz on Monday 30 October, from 7pm. Tickets are available on the door and are £2. You can win a cash jackpot, plus some weird and wonderful prizes. We’ve been busy working on our team name – Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun, Frank-einsteins and  I Kissed A Ghoul are coming in strong.

GAYU (Halloween)

The LGBT+ societies are joining together to celebrate Halloween together in this Halloween event that’s taking place on Saturday, 28 October from 10pm.

Beetlejuice, A Nightmare on Elm Street and The Exorcist, Bombed out Church

There can’t be a much better setting for a horror film than the Bombed Out Church. Tickets are on sale now and they have a great selection of horror films running from Saturday 28 October through to Tuesday 31 October.

Monster Match at the Haunted Hotel, Book Society – ticketed

Solve this Halloween mystery with your friends on Thursday, 12 October from 6pm. Organised by Booksoc, the event is taking place in the Guild and you’ll need to book tickets.

Stranger Things Halloween Special, Camp and Furnace

Head to Camp and Furnace in your best Stranger Things themed fancy dress for themed cocktails, street food, DJs and Halloween treats. During the night you’ll experience the Upside Down and be transported back to the best bits of the 80s. The events taking place on Friday, 27 October.

Halloween Movie Night, Biomedical Science Society at the Guild’s Cinema room – Free

The Biomedical Science Society are hosting a screening of Monsters Inc in their cinema on Friday 20 October. The event is free and they’ll be pizzas and snacks. You need to book a ticket for this event.

Halloween Crafts, Guild – Free

Make your Halloween decorations at this free Guild event where all your spooky craft supplies will be supplied.

Campus Halloween Fun Run, Free

You can get all dressed up and take part in Sport Liverpool’s Halloween Fund Run on Wednesday, 25 October. The fancy dress run will be a choice of one lap or two laps of the three loop circuit. Register from 2pm at Sport Liverpool and the event starts at 2.30pm.

Spooky World, Warrington

40 minutes outside of Liverpool, Spooky World has seven terrifying scare attractions to survive, including a haunted hay ride, slaughter house and a haunted house. Tickets are on sale now.
